meet Brian Edgeley

Administrator and Worship Leader Brian EdgeleyBrian Edgeley was born in Upminster Essex and was taken to Sunday School each weekend by a family friend with their children. He became a Christian at an early age and took to the guitar like a fish-to-water aged 11 at a Crusaders Camp in Swanage. He acutely remembers sitting with the guitar dedicating his life to the Lord.

After training as a Toolmaker Brian decided to see more of life and spent 2 years abroad hitchhiking. During this time he purchased a Spanish guitar in Valencia, the home of Spanish guitars, and could be found singing for his tea in many a foreign restaurant. He had an incredibly powerful encounter with the Lord on a hill top in Portugal which opened his eyes to Gods glory and His call upon his life. On his return to the UK he became involved with the Good News Crusade and led worship all over the country with both GNC and several of their evangelists including Yan Hadley (now of New Life In Christ Ministries) and Dr. Peter Gammons (now of Peter Gammons Ministries International) with a group he and a close friend David Rowe (now worship leader elder at Kingdom Faith Frankfurt) called 'Living Proof'. He also travelled abroad both leading worship and speaking at various events.

It was during this busy period of his life that Brian worked as an Field Service Engineer for various white goods firms by day as he continued leading worship and writing songs under the umbrella of 'Fan Into Flame Ministries' which he founded in 1990. He also studied computer tech before moving to Dorset in 1997 to study as a mature student at Moorlands Bible College. Chosen as the college Worship Leader he MC'ed at the Moorlands 50th Jubilee celebrations, the inaugeration of Dr. Stephen Brady as College Principle and at Spring Harvest 1999 with Doug and Sue Barnett. Brian also worked as Coordinator and presenter at HOPE FM, Bournemouth's Christian Radio Station and helped build up the studio during a crucial period of the stations history.

Today, Brian works for himself as an IT professional and runs ICT Media Tech. He has worked part time as the Administrator of LEAF since 2012. He became involved in LEAF originally as Technical Manager of Forest Fire 2012 after taking redundancy from his ICT Management job in Aerospace and whilst he set up ICT Media Tech. His main tasks for LEAF include maintaining the LEAF database, communications, PR and marketing events and the LEAF Website.
