LEAF Korean Prayer Mission 2016

One Mission - Three Locations - One Prayer

Returning to the New Forest the UK Prayer Mission Coordinator Namjin Kim visited the 3 locations for this years prayer mission as well as St Michael and All Angels church in Lyndhurst where last years pilgrimage stayed.

A Very Victorian Heritage:

Robert Jermain ThomasMany Christians in South Korea have a deep respect and sense of gratitude to the United Kingdom and to her early missionaries. For it was through those early Victorian missionaries that the Word of God came to Korea. Today's Christians are the spiritual descendants of their preaching and just as those missionaries travelled to a far-off land for the sake of the Gospel a century-and-a-half ago, so too these Korean pilgrims are travelling to a far off land, the UK with a prayer on their lips.

To read more about their heritage and the first Christian Missionaries to visit Korea read this article written after the 2015 prayer misson

Their Prayer is Tri-fold:

This year the Korean Prayer Mission  will visit three locations in the Forest: RIngwood | Tiptoe  and Harley, Hythe. Yet even though there are 3 teams of praying pilgrims their prayer will be the same! "Lord send Revival once again!" Their prayer will have a tri-fold purpose which will echo throughout the country as all of the twelve teams who are visiting the UK call upon God in prayer.

  1. Their  PRAYER is for the UK Church: ... that it might grow and prosper and once again grow a generation of Christians on fire for God and with the same spirit and passion of the early Victorian Missionaries who took the Gospel to Korea.
  2. Their prayer is to BLESS:  Church leaders, their work and ministry; their leadership teams and congregations - that they would prosper and be fruitful in the Lord.
  3. Their desire is to BLESS UK Pulpits: ...that God would once again open up the floodgates of heaven and pour out His Spirit of power and authority, that it would fall like rain, but like also like a heavenly fire. That heavenly fire would flow out of the preached Word of God Sunday by Sunday through the mouths and lives of the preachers, so that the congregations would be enthused and that they would then go out into their communities and places of work and win souls for Christ. Then those new believers would once again fill the churches and the baptisteries would once again be opened up and used regularly; that some of those new Christians would become tomorrows missionaries who would take the Gospel of Grace out into a needy world.
