St Andrew and All Saints

A Little About St Andrew's and All Saints Churches:

Revd. John Currin

The Parish of Dibden is served by two church, different in character but with one beating heart and vison under the Parish Rector Revd. John Currin.

All Saints’ Church in Dibden is a beautiful 13th Century Grade II listed building in a quiet setting surrounded by a well kept attractive churchyard with views over Southampton Water. It is situated at the northern end of the parish close to the Dibden golf course. The churchyard is still in active use and there is ample parking.

St. Andrew’s Church is a welcoming, modern, growing Anglican church with an open Evangelical and gently charismatic flavour. Sunday Services attract all ages with facilities for children – including a well-equipped crèche – in St. Andrew’s Centre adjoining the church. The Centre, including large hall, kitchens, children’s rooms, lounge, church office and ‘The Coffee House’ (our coffee shop), has become the heart of the community, and is used by many local groups as well as the church – a bridge bringing many closer to God.

Services:

The Sunday services take place in our two church buildings: St. Andrew’s Church, Dibden Purlieu and All Saints’ Church, Dibden.  For directions see our How to Find Us page.

We not only conduct Sunday services but we also conduct monthly worship gatherings at Little Haven and Muir House residential homes.

  • 9.00AM.: A Prayer Book (1662 BCP) service of Holy Communion (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sunday of each month) and Morning Prayer (Matins) on the 5th Sunday. These services are shared between All Saints’ and St Andrew’s. (Details are on the church noticeboards).
  • 10.30AM.: Every Sunday at St Andrew’s. A service for all ages in a contemporary style with créche, Sunday Club and Pathfinders groups available for children aged 0-13. The 1st Sunday is usually an All Age Service when children stay in for a specially adapted service (créche still available). On 2nd and 4th Sundays we follow the order for Morning Worship. The 3rd Sunday is a Family Communion and a 5th Sunday is Holy Communion.
  • 6.00PM.: Evening Service every Sunday at All Saints’ except the 1st Sunday in the month; 2nd & 5th Sundays are Evening Worship (contemporary style); 3rd Sunday is Evening Prayer (1662 BCP) and 4th Sunday is Holy Communion.
  • 7.00PM.: At St Andrew’s. A contemporary style with an extended time of worship on the 1st Sunday of each month.
