LEAF Revival Prayer, Tiptoe AMENDED TIMES for March 2017

LEAF are committed to pray for the spiritual transformation of the New Forest; for the church and her leaders, and for the communities in which we live. To that end we also pray for the people of the forest, and all issues affecting them. We pray that they will come to know that God loves them and that they will experience His transforming power in their lives, through Jesus.

Prayer works

When the disciples came to Jesus and asked Him “Lord, teach us to pray” he told them: “This, then, is how you should pray”:

“Our Father in heaven hallowed be your name,
Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one,
For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever. Amen.”
                                                                                                Matthew 6:9-13

By answering in this way, Jesus showed how we can each one have a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Prayer is God’s idea, not ours.

Jesus said: “when you pray...”, not if. (Matthew 6:5-8)  It’s not something we’ve invented out of our own need. It’s part of Gods plan for our lives, and He wants to hear our prayers.

The Apostle Paul said: “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone...” (1 Timothy 2:1) Paul also said “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests ..., be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints...”. (Ephesians 6:18)

Prayer is central to all we do within the Local Evangelical Alliance. Prayer precedes all of our management committee meetings, gatherings and events. Plus there is a regular monthly Leaders Prayer Breakfast with light breakfast - open to all church leaders - where leaders can pray for each other and for His Kingdom to come throughout the New Forest… and beyond. These prayer times are on the 1st Thursday of each month and are in differing locations. Please see the online calendar for further LEAF Leaders Prayer Breakfast details.

The Early Morning Leaders Prayer Breakfasts for March 2017 onwards will be at the the home of Pastors Alison and David John. There will be a light breakfast from 07:00 am and then prayer, finishing at 08:30 am

All church leaders are very welcome to join us for breakfast, worship and prayer.

Prayer for Revival Tiptoe:

LEAF, in association with the River of Life Church Tiptoe, has taken up the challenge presented to us 2 years ago of regulary gathering together for prayer.

Each month, on the 1st Thursday morning when the local church leaders meet together for prayer, as mentioned above, the chapel at The Life Centre Tiptoe (formally The Jireh Centre) will be open for anyone to come in and openly pray. The Chapel will usually be open from 09:00am until 12.00 o'clock Midday for prayer.

Prayers for personal revival, church revival and forest wide revival too, this is simply a time to come together to call upon God to pour out His Spirit of revival again upon this land. Open to all, this time will become a regular place of pilgrimage for many.

Come join us for the next meeting which will be on the 1st Thursday of each month. Please refer to the calendar for changes.
