Love in Action 2

Press Release: Love In Action 2

LEAF, the Local Evangelical Alliance in the New Forest, is holding its annual autumn meeting next Wednesday evening at Lyndhurst Community Centre.

Following LEAF’s original 2012 Love In Action event and in direct response from a poll of church leaders on the needs of their community; 'Love in Action 2' will inspire us to see the opportunities open to churches to practically help the people most in need in their local communities. The main speaker, Matt Bird, founded the Cinnamon Network five years ago and already works with over 3500 local churches for which it has provided training - and in some cases funding. The Cinnamon Network now champions over 25 recognised community projects in areas such as Food Poverty, Family Support, Homelessness, Money Management, Overcoming Addictions, Street Pastors and Angels; plus many more. In addition to the above list of projects there will also be opportunity to hear about local New Forest projects that are already running and who have received funding, or a micro-grant, from the Cinnamon Network! Thanks to partnership with Governments and Foundations the evening will also hear about new micro-grant funding that is available to local churches to help set-up and run their own project within their community. The Cinnamon Network is endorsed by Government, the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Evangelical Alliance.
